No. 50 Coping skills, emotional regulation + completing the stress cycle

What do you do when your self-care just isn’t cutting it? In this episode, we explore how to cope when your usual strategies feel flat, frustrating, or totally ineffective—and why that’s more common than you might think. Whether you’re burned out, stuck in a funk, or just over your usual routine, this one’s for you.

We cover:

  • Why your tools might not be working right now

  • Creative (and unconventional) ways to care for yourself

  • The difference between coping and avoiding

  • What to do when your body holds onto stress after your mind has let it go

  • Self-soothing strategies for when your comfort person isn’t available

  • Why coping doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human

Let this episode be a gentle check-in, not a judgment. You’re allowed to change, adapt, and find new ways to care for yourself as you grow.
